DePIN Altcoins Showing Potential Gains in October

As broader market sentiment improves, tokens that power Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePINs) are among the altcoins showing potential gains in October. Notable DePIN coins to watch next month include Bittensor (TAO), Robonomics Network (XRT), Render (RENDER), Anyone Protocol (ANYONE), and IAGON (IAG).

Bittensor (TAO) Climbs to Multi-Month Highs The value of TAO, the token that powers Bittensor’s decentralized machine learning network, has spiked by 78% over the past week. The altcoin now trades at a price level last recorded in April. TAO currently enjoys a significant bullish bias, as evidenced by its rising on-balance volume (OBV). When an asset’s OBV rises, it indicates that buyers have the upper hand in the market. It suggests that buying pressure is high, and traders and investors are confident in the asset’s potential to increase in value. If the uptrend continues, TAO could break above $651.34, turning this level into a support floor. Should this occur, the altcoin may be poised for a rally toward its all-time high of $774.86, last reached on April 11.

Robonomics Network (XRT) Sees Surge in Demand XRT, the utility token of the Robonomics network, a decentralized cloud storage provider, is currently trading at $4.72, following an impressive 83% increase over the past week. It ranks as the top-performing DePIN coin in terms of growth over the last seven days. XRT’s rising Chaikin Money Flow (CMF), which tracks the flow of money into and out of the asset, reflects solid demand. With a CMF value of 0.08, the data shows that buying pressure is outpacing selling activity, supporting the token’s price increase. Additionally, XRT’s on-balance volume (OBV), which measures the cumulative money flow into and out of the asset, has surged 33% over the past week. This rise in OBV indicates that more buyers are entering the market, fueling the token’s price momentum. If the buying pressure continues, XRT could reach $7.71. However, a sharp increase in profit-taking could reverse this trend, potentially driving XRT’s price down to a monthly low of $1.84.

Render (RENDER) Rallies Past Key Moving Averages RENDER is currently trading at $6.10, marking a 31% increase over the past week. This surge has pushed the token above two key resistance levels, its 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) and 50-day simple moving average (SMA), which have been obstacles since June. As of now, RENDER’s 20-day EMA, reflecting the average price over the last 20 trading days, stands at $5.42. Meanwhile, the 50-day SMA, a longer-term indicator tracking the average closing price over the past 50 days, is $5.10. This breakout suggests strong momentum for RENDER as it moves past these critical levels. When an asset trades above these key averages, its uptrend is gaining momentum and is likely to continue. If RENDER successfully flips these key levels into support, its price may rally toward $7.26.

iExec: Pioneering Decentralized Confidential Computing in Web3
As Decentralized Confidential Computing (DeCC) gains traction in 2024, iExec has been a pioneer in this domain, merging Confidential Computing with blockchain since 2018. Collaborating with Intel, iExec launched the first Trusted Compute Specification for the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance, laying the groundwork for secure data processing in Web3. By 2019, iExec became the first Web3 company to join the Confidential Computing Consortium, solidifying its role in decentralized data protection. These early innovations have paved the way for DeCC, which redefines data privacy and security in the Web3 landscape. Confidential Computing is a critical component of DeCC, addressing the need to protect data not only at rest and in transit but also during processing. This technology isolates sensitive data or code using hardware enclaves, creating a trusted execution environment that processes encrypted data in memory. By employing hardware-based attestation reports, Confidential Computing ensures that only authorized programs can access the data within these enclaves. This approach safeguards various types of data, from personal information to complex algorithms, enhancing security in an increasingly fragmented data landscape. The DeCC movement promotes a broader understanding of privacy in Web3, emphasizing user control and decentralized security. With the formation of the DeCC Alliance, which includes leading projects in Confidential Computing, the initiative aims to educate the public on the capabilities of DeCC and its necessity for secure data usage. iExec's mission is to empower users by tokenizing their data and establishing governance rules, ensuring that data remains secure and private. As DeCC continues to evolve, it is set to transform the Web3 ecosystem, making privacy and data ownership a fundamental right for users in the digital age.

Transforming EV Charging into Eco-Friendly Actions with Arkreen's Plug for Green Program
In a groundbreaking initiative, Shaolin Funktastic has demonstrated how electric vehicle (EV) charging can contribute to sustainability through Arkreen's Plug for Green Program (PGP). By integrating real-time tracking of brown energy usage with on-chain carbon offsets, this program transforms the act of charging a Tesla into an eco-friendly action. This innovative approach highlights the potential of the decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, where even EVs powered by traditional grid energy can actively work to reduce their carbon footprint, making each charge a step towards a cleaner planet. The Arkreen Smart Plug plays a crucial role in this process. When Shaolin charges his Tesla, the Smart Plug monitors the energy consumed in real-time and reports it through an app. If the vehicle is charging with brown energy, the Plug for Green feature automatically offsets this usage by securing tokenized Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). This means that as soon as the Tesla begins charging, the system ensures that the energy consumption is matched with renewable energy credits, effectively neutralizing the carbon emissions associated with the charging process. Arkreen's solution stands out for its on-chain execution, which provides transparency and accountability directly from the data source. By turning the Tesla into an IoT oracle, the program allows users to offset their carbon emissions seamlessly by purchasing ART tokens, which are derived from verified renewable energy generation data. This innovative approach not only lowers barriers for individuals aiming for personal carbon neutrality but also redefines the REC market, making it more accessible. As Arkreen Network continues to advance sustainable driving, the vision of a future where every EV charging station integrates with the Plug for Green Program becomes increasingly attainable, ensuring a greener planet for all.

Julian Assange's Release Sparks Debate on Press Freedom and Censorship
Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, recently addressed European lawmakers following his release, claiming that the United States coerced him into pleading guilty to journalism. After spending 14 years in detention, Assange stated he chose "freedom over unrealizable justice." He emphasized the increasing threats to journalists and publishers, urging lawmakers to implement measures to protect whistleblowers and journalists from unjust persecution and governmental retaliation. Assange's case has sparked widespread debate about the state of press freedom and the implications of government actions against those who expose misconduct. Assange's journey began with the founding of WikiLeaks, which gained notoriety for publishing classified documents, including a 2010 release of footage showing a US military helicopter attack on civilians. His legal troubles escalated when he faced sexual assault charges in Sweden, which he denied. In 2019, he was arrested in London under a US extradition request for espionage. Many advocates for free speech, including a United Nations panel, have labeled his detention as arbitrary, raising concerns about the criminalization of journalism and the erosion of press freedoms worldwide. The alarming trend of journalists being arrested under national security pretenses continues to grow, with a record number of arrests reported in 2023. In response to the growing censorship and control over information, projects like tomi aim to create a decentralized internet that prioritizes free speech and user privacy. By leveraging Web3 technologies, tomi seeks to empower individuals to express their opinions without fear of government retaliation. This initiative includes developing a decentralized browser, storage solutions, and communication tools designed to protect the rights of journalists and the public. As the landscape of journalism becomes increasingly precarious, the adoption of decentralized technologies could serve as a crucial safeguard against censorship and promote a more transparent and open digital ecosystem.
